Today was my first official day as a full time photographer. I know every day wont be like today but it was wonderful. I didn't sit around in my pjs. I got up, got dressed; heck this is my job! The phone rang, orders were placed, appointments were made, a couple of bones were thrown my way and I smiled all day.
I took the time to learn something new in photoshop. Something I needed to do a long time ago. Always in too much of a rush to get it done. Also realized some mistakes I made, not happy about that but glad I realized it now instead of later. I hate to make mistakes, hate it, hate it.
I started my 100 things journal. I cooked supper early, made an apple pie, and got all the clothes washed. I took the time to breathe. I took the time to play with my kids and tonight I took the time to see the fireworks for the Strawberry Festival opening ceremonies. I have lived here 7 years and this is the first year I have been.
It feels good to take it in. I do hope everyday is like today. I hope that people understand I do this as a trade aka I need to get paid. I hope my husband understands that sometimes I just have to do so things for the art of it. I hope the bones that were tossed at me were legit. I do get my hopes up. If I say I am going to do it, I do it. I have been let down a lot because I thought people had that same mentality.
Tomorrow, add walking and making the time to study. I keep telling myself I need a routine drawn out but there is no way I could stick to it today.
This is just meaningless rambling today but I am happy to share because I got this. I know I do. I am going to get my routine down, I am going to improve and I am going to take this place by storm. Everyone will be a rockstar before I leave this place, e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e! Let me know when I need to come see you...Until then
Keep Rockin
You've never been to the Strawberry Festival? It seems half of B-town would skip school to go.
