Softball season has kicked in and I think I hit every back road between here and there searching for my tree or a new location to shoot at. I think I found my tree btw. We had a game the other night in Rutherford and I found so many cool locations along the way. An old yellow wall that use to be part of a gas station, an old junk yard that doesn't look like anyone has moved a thing in years, and the old (I guess you would call) downtown.
Passing through all of them of course I was scouting everywhere but on the way home it was pitch dark. I started thinking (imagine that). Those use to be vibrant businesses. I know that twinkle in their eye they must have had when they had the opportunity to open their dream business. I have it. I have heard before that if a business can make it two years you got it whooped. Some of those business looked like they had been around forever. I know the closing of the factories and people starting to move out changed things. I cant image their disappointment when they knew they had to shut the doors, without anyone telling them.
I have several friends that have or have had businesses and they always say, everything I make goes back into it. What is their mistake? Maybe they didn't reach high enough. I know there are two types of people, those who wait for it to happen and those who make it happen.
I have never been a waiter. Well, I was a waitress when I was in high school (ok bad joke). I am going to make it happen. I want to be successful. I don't want to loose my drive or become a cattle wrangler if you know what I mean. I want to enjoy the ride. I want to make art. I am ready to get started and I am bringing my A game.
Are you ready? Think about it, what kind of person are you? Are you waiting on that opportunity to come to you? Oh yeah its not always going to go your way but its going, right? If you make mistakes, learn from them. We all make them. Make it happen!...Until then
Keep Rockin
