Welcome to my little corner! I am so thrilled you are here and hope to see you back. This blogsite is loaded with visual stimulation, new products, ideas and crazy stuff that runs across my mind. Also included will be many grammer mistakes and misspellings I am sure.

My name is Brandy. I will be your guide. I am also a people watcher, day dreamer, artist, flexitarian, guerilla artist, Sweet Potato Queen, music lover, member of the Metal Pounders Union, and photographer.

I absolutely love my job and the opportunities I have to meet the people that I do.

100 Things Challenge

I know I am suppose to write about fall or winter today but I got something else to tell you. I have an inspirational friend on Facebook that keeps my mind turning. (like I really need that distraction!) Anyway, I recently read about the 100 things challenge. It is a challenge to live on 100 things alone. Google it, its pretty cool.

The 100 day challenge is a way to live a minimal lifestyle. I like my things just like the next person. I have that cool pair of shoes that doesn't go with anything I own and probably nothing I will ever own but I hang on to them. I like my stuff. No I love my stuff. My stuff makes me feel like I have accomplished something. Yeah I worked hard to be able to buy that. I am saving that just in case I need it. Who am I fooling?

These are the things that are not suppose to be included:
  • Stuff that is shared by my family
  • non-personal stuff like dishes, cleaning supplies, etc
  • books
  • tools
  • collections count as one item

I have too much crap to dusk as it is. I just built a studio and it is already crammed with stuff I "might" use. Now I am all for a minimal lifestyle. We have 9 lunchboxes on top of the fridge. NINE. Why do we need 9? There is only 4 of us. I have a whole collection of Readers Digest Books from my parents. Very nice books that have timeless stories in them and old drawings inside to show the story. A really cool collection but I have had them for over 6 years and have never picked one up. I need to donate them to the library. Inside the books I found old ticket stubs and such. I guess my parent were not good at purging either.

Its time for a change. Time to declutter. I don't honestly think I could get down to 100 things but I am definitely going to make a change. I think if I can get rid of some things it will get rid of some stress. We have entirely too much crap to take care of, dusk, pick up. Honestly what do those things mean to me? I appreciate my past, some of it I would rather forget, but I appreciate things that were passed down but WHY ON EARTH do I need a plug in Santa Clause from 1965?

I think it will be harder for the rest of the family to purge than myself but they may follow along. Keep an eye out on Facebook and here to see what I got for sale! Its time for a change. I think with one change it will bring another. Hopefully the real change I am wanting to make in my life.

I will share that change when it happens. I will be so excited to get there ...Until then

Keep Rockin
