The way I work and transform myself into rockstar photographer it consumes a lot of my time. All-Star Softball season has kicked in and the games are all the same time I work. I miss so much because of work, its a crazy balance!
Roxanne is a vampire fan and I can actually sit still long enough to watch the movies with her. ( I think that pale Cullen boy is fine!) Softball games in the way, going to her grandparents for the weekend, me working in the evenings, sometimes it is just all too overwhelming and too busy to sit down. She had been telling me she wanted to do something special just ourselves.
I got up my courage to stay up past 10pm and bought two tickets to the midnight showing of New Twilipse...just kidding...ECLIPSE. I knew it would be something she would want to do and it would definitely be just us two out of the family. Something she would remember for sure. She told me all the way there how excited she was and told all her friends that just she and I were going together. It makes me smile to see her smile.
I believe that I was risking much needed beauty sleep or maybe even the dark circles appearing under my eyes today but it was worth it to spend time with her. She will be grown in no time.
One of my favorites Iron and Wine released a song for Twilight, Flightless Bird, American Mouth. If you read the lyrics you will think what in the world! There has been much controversy over the meaning of the song some say it is a political song (which I can see), some a love song.
I want to believe when I interpret it, it is this crazy beautiful love song. A song that takes you from childhood, to losing her, to past the honeymoon and a future together. A flightless bird is grounded. I want my big pill to stick going down when I think of the time passing. (lyric from the song) Just like everything else in this world it is up to how you see it. You may thank me for the jam...Until then
Keep Rockin
