Welcome to my little corner! I am so thrilled you are here and hope to see you back. This blogsite is loaded with visual stimulation, new products, ideas and crazy stuff that runs across my mind. Also included will be many grammer mistakes and misspellings I am sure.

My name is Brandy. I will be your guide. I am also a people watcher, day dreamer, artist, flexitarian, guerilla artist, Sweet Potato Queen, music lover, member of the Metal Pounders Union, and photographer.

I absolutely love my job and the opportunities I have to meet the people that I do.

Talk to Me

My daughter was in her first musical this past weekend. She has practiced so much my 3 year old is singing the songs, word for word. I am too.

I sat on the front row (camera in hand of course) and beamed with pride when she came across the stage. She was part of the musical chorus and always stood in the back where you could only see the top of her head and her ears every now and then. How do I know they were her ears? They were bright red. She had to have been so nervous. After the show I asked her why she stood behind everyone else; she said that she felt like everyone's eyes were right on her.

The first night I sat beside an ex family member and she told me all about her aches and pains, her family, her work, and her shopping. I smiled politely and listened. I have heard the stories so many times before but I listened. Well I pretended to. She talks alot, ALOT!

The second night I got there right before the show started and sat beside an elderly couple. The man leaned over and said you have someone in this show? Of course I talked about my girl and told him how good the show was. He told me he was retired. Loved it. He had worked for Procter and Gamble for 20 years and had a line of the world's worst jobs before then. During breaks and curtain he would talk about his son. How he was an only child and he had always wanted a daughter. He told me that his son had married a wonderful girl he considered his own. He told me he was there to support the kids in his church. He laughed and told me he had gotten a couple of free tickets and when your retired you go to anything free.

The 3rd night I had to work backstage. I felt so in the way and the kids looked at me like I was in the way! There was another lady that worked backstage with me. We talked about our jobs, our kids, relationships and the ones we had lost to cancer. Before the night was over we were both teary eyed and hardly able to speak anymore. Remembering the ones that are gone is still so hard for me and apparently it was for her to.

The 4th night I carried Cameron and missed most of the show. I am sure I dont even have to tell you why! By the end of the 4th show Rachel was out front and singing loud. Her ears were not red but that neck was blotchy like her Moms. I am proud of her.

Its funny the people you meet if you just give them the opportunity to talk. I think everyone wants to be heard. Hence the reason for this blog I guess. Sometimes it just seems like one story spills into another. I think it is great that some people will tell a complete stranger so much. I think people should talk to others. I think people should listen to others. You dont know me? Thats ok lets get to know each other. There are some awesome people out there, some boasting, some hurting; sometimes the same person.

Hey I am Brandy. It's great to meet you. The whole time I have been writing this I have been singing the line "Talk to Me" from Here Comes the Rain Again from the Eurythmics. You may thank me for the jam...Until then

Keep Rockin
