I think someone should always say, "Thank you." Its just the right thing to do. Kids these days and young adults (I like to include myself in that range of folks although I am past young adults) seem to not have that.
I remember writing thank you notes when I had received shower gifts and wanting to personalize each one, not the standard same thing, "Thank you for the gift. I needed it and it will used." How boring would it be to get that note? I had to add some sparkle to mine. I know we are all in a hurry now. Rushing here, have to get there and its alot easier to send an email rather than snail mail. When my sister was pregnant with her last child I found out by a text message. Why don't we talk to each other anymore?
I know it is easier to say somethings in an email. Its instant and doesn't cost 44 cents. I know it is easier to send a text. You don't get caught up in a conversation, you need to say what you have to say and that is it. Its easier to write on someones social network, your only response could be :) and it is accepted.
Although my handwriting is AWFUL (and I mean that in all caps) I still like to send notes and hope that I have the time to send unexpected notes to my friends and family like I use to do. I am still old fashion in a lot of ways. I love snail mail. I love to get mail. I use to always want to send a thank you note when I got a thank you note! I still buy CDs and movies, I rarely download. I don't have a smart phone, although I did get a touch screen and all that does is send out a booty call when I put it in my back pocket.
I do alot of my business through the internet, text messages, and social sites because everyone else does. It is up with the times, fast paced, and I can get quick and easy notes to my friends. I think it is time to send out some sloppy handwritten notes. When is the last time you took the time and did the old fashion art of sending a letter? Oh yeah, thank you for reading... Until then
Keep Rockin
