Welcome to my little corner! I am so thrilled you are here and hope to see you back. This blogsite is loaded with visual stimulation, new products, ideas and crazy stuff that runs across my mind. Also included will be many grammer mistakes and misspellings I am sure.

My name is Brandy. I will be your guide. I am also a people watcher, day dreamer, artist, flexitarian, guerilla artist, Sweet Potato Queen, music lover, member of the Metal Pounders Union, and photographer.

I absolutely love my job and the opportunities I have to meet the people that I do.

Refuge Comfort

2 of my favorite shows ever (besides Lost) is Dirty Jobs and 30 Days. Both are shows that teach you to walk in another man's shoes. Its not easy to do either. I have told my husband that I would love to do these types of shows. Curiosity gets the better of me, but after cleaning out a sewer and living 30 days on minimum wage and the only income in the house, I may change my mind.

I have my own secret show I think about. Shhh, don't tell FX or The Discovery Channel, they will be all over it! My show will of course feature me, living in different homes for 30 days. Here is the first season. The name is Refuge Comfort with Brandy Kemp. Gotta have my name in there!

Living with Ted Nugent on his ranch. Land as far as the eye can see. Fresh, clean air that never gets dull. I wake up early in the morning and sit on the back porch to breathe it all in. Riding the 4 wheelers across the land and shooting a bow and arrow. Watching the sunset into a sky that seems to never end. Once a week I would hunt with him for supper.

Living in a high rise apartment in New York. I can walk anywhere I want to go. Joining in the hustle and bustle just to get to the coffee shop. I buy groceries just for the night and don't have to worry about tomorrow until it gets here. Huge window with a view of the city and at night it is just breath taking. At night I walk to the regular meeting spot to see friends. We laugh and tell the same jokes over and over. Tuesday night is salsa dance classes.

Living in a bright orange beach house trimmed in white right on the sand. I leave the windows open to hear the ocean roar throughout the day and when I go outside I feel the steady mist on my face. I walk barefooted everywhere I go and of course never have to worry about ironing my hair. I go deep sea fishing at least once a week. My skin is so tan and freckles are all over my face. Sometimes at night I walk down to the beach and just sit and absorb it all in. I build a bonfire and just relax.

Living in a RV in the middle of the desert. Cooking my food outside and 3 gazillion moth balls outside around the RV to keep away the snakes. I will walk as far as I can and never see another soul. It will seem like the earth is flat. I will sit in the sand and talk to no one. Wishing they were there with me. Nights are beautiful with stars all around. No city lights to overpower them. Words cant describe how lost you can get staring at the sky and counting the stars.

Living on a tour bus with a rock band. Seeing a different city every night. Sleeping in late everyday because we partied so hard the night before. Ridiculous requests for the dressing room and laughing because they met them. Feeling the rush of the crowd as they sing along to the lead. I watch the nerdy guys play the air guitar and drums and smile cause I am one of them.

Living in a family home on 3 acres with a small lake in the front filled with catfish and crappie. Complaining because I don't have enough time to fish it. Vegetable garden to the right with so many tomatoes I cant keep them picked. Rushing to get supper fixed every night so I can spend more time working. Going to the grocery store every single day because I forgot something the day before. Laundry never ends and the dog runs through the house every time you open the door. I cant keep the house picked up for the crayons, paper and stuffed animals. Leaving it all behind to spend an unexpected day with the family.

My show would win awards with no one but myself. Experiencing life as others, although my favorite is the last one. Don't laugh I already have second season planned too. I will share it another time...Until then

Keep Rockin

  1. If I were a producer...I would certainly pick up your show and air it for a season. If nothing else...it would be a hell of a time...and better yet...the public might just love this show soooo much that it lasts 10 seasons and you have so many stories to tell you could write a series of books. :-) Yes, rock on! 2. Well thank you Rachel! Maybe we could get Discovery Channel or FX to pick it up and be famous. Hanging out with the Nuge should get us some publicity!
