My gosh it has been a while. A long while.
It seems like here lately there have been a long line of brides at my studio door. 2011 is going to be a magical year for weddings for sure. So many brides with so many different personalities and the engagement sessions are always so fun.
Just the way they look at each other...its amazing to just see love. See it in her smile, his laughter, and their body language. Sometimes if the groom to be seems nervous or unnatural I ask him to look at her and tell her the thing that made you fall in love with her. I always feel my eyes start to tear up when he says her eyes or her smile. I am so proud to be a part of their engagement.
This time of the year also brings families to my door wanting portraits made for Christmas cards. There are some families I have seen that are truly blessed. Sometimes when the sun is behind the rays seems to shine right through them. Its almost like I caught God shining down on them.
Then there are babies that only grin when Mom is behind me acting silly. Their eyes follow their mom's every move and there are times when I look at their portrait I can see their eyes shine and this feeling of joy on their face when they see their parents behind me.
Love is everywhere. I do believe it can truly not only be felt but seen. It is something that cannot be understood always. Look for it. Actually see it. Do you feel the love man? I sound like an old hippie today but I can see it every time I look at your portraits.
