Welcome to my little corner! I am so thrilled you are here and hope to see you back. This blogsite is loaded with visual stimulation, new products, ideas and crazy stuff that runs across my mind. Also included will be many grammer mistakes and misspellings I am sure.

My name is Brandy. I will be your guide. I am also a people watcher, day dreamer, artist, flexitarian, guerilla artist, Sweet Potato Queen, music lover, member of the Metal Pounders Union, and photographer.

I absolutely love my job and the opportunities I have to meet the people that I do.

Colors of the Wind

I hate it when my children learn lessons too early in life. It seems either they are getting older or the world is changing much faster than it did for me as a teenager. I am however proud of how they handle disappointment, fear, and rejection because I was not that good at it at that age.

My oldest daughter wanted a part in the school play...a lead role too mind you...way out of her character. She memorized her lines the first day they handed out the scripts and even (on her own) searched for youtube videos of the Broadway shows so she could get her voice and mannerisms in check. I was so proud of her for wanting to come out of her shell.

She didn't get the part. She got stuck with lights, which is an important part of the play. Ok I am not going to sugar coat it, LIGHTS? CMON! I called her just as soon as her Dad picked her up from school to find out and I could hear the disappointment in her voice.

She says it doesnt discourage her from trying out again for a part in the next play coming up and I did tell her that I have friends who work in the music industry that do nothing but lights. Their job is on a much larger scale and full of pyro too but its a similarity. That did get a smile out of her.

Colors of the Wind is her favorite song. She sings it all the time and probably doesn't realized it is written about, plainly said, disappointment. I am proud of the young lady we have raised. I strive to be more like her everyday.

Keep Rockin Roxanne...I love you

  1. Awww, how sweet. I am sorry she didn't get the role, but I am sure there are more on the horizon for her. :)

    Great job, Mom.
