Ever have those things you want to do but never? Only because the house is a wreck, you are tired, it will put you behind?
Last night I carried my daughter to see Alice in Wonderland. While driving there my mind is in overdrive, I don't have time to do this. I have sessions to edit, orders to place, laundry to do, and the list could go on. After the movie was over she told me how much she liked it being just us two and thanked me for carrying her. I felt like a dog for thinking about cancelling on her before we went, because of things I needed to do. I should do that more often. I will do that more often and I wont have to put it on a list.
A couple of years ago I had some health problems. I told my husband if we survive this no more excuses. We work so hard to have the things we have and don't get out and enjoy life. We are going to do the things we have wanted to do, stop making excuses. After the air cleared we did a few things we had been wanting to do and got back in the slump it seems. Life seems to get in the way. I say its time to kick the tires, and light the fires YEEHAW! As Rihanna would say, "Live your Life, your steady chasin that paper!" Although paper is a good thing! lol
I am not saying you need to ignore everything but some things can wait right? What will it hurt by waiting? Kick the tires in your life. Feel it out. Are you in a slump, doing the things you HAVE to do and only those things? Make a date with your daughter, save up a few pennies and go see Joe in concert. Find what makes you feel alive and do it! It feels good to be alive. It feels good to do something different, and it felt great to see my daughter so happy.
Go ahead light the fires and brag about it. Tell everyone else what you do to feel alive and make it a pay it forward kinda deal. Maybe it will inspire someone else to get out and "feel alive"...Until then
Please Keep Rockin
