I love the fact that my kids love music as much as I do. I got my daughter Michael Jackson's This is It for Valentine's Day. It chronicles him practicing for his new tour coming up before his untimely death.
Of course it opened a lot of discussion as to why does he dance that way, wear his hair that way and where is the white glove?
I told her that MJ constantly reinvented himself, making himself eternally young and never boring. Everyone wanted to see what new thing he could come up with and not to mention he really was a great singer, dancer, entertainer. His private life kept everyone interested as well.
One thing I have always thought about photography and life in general is we all have to constantly reinvent ourselves and we do sometimes without even realizing it. Which is great! I think we are influenced by our surroundings, meeting new people, finding these changes in our lives and profession almost change us even more.
I was stuck in a rut in another life thinking I had to be a step-ford wife, never buck the rules, and always do what I am told. WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS WRONG WITH ME??
I am glad I am me, reinventing myself, experiencing new things, showing people new things with my photography, showing myself new things with my photography, and wearing my white glove.
Put your white glove on for a while and see if it fits! Its even better with some bling bling...Until then
