Welcome to my little corner! I am so thrilled you are here and hope to see you back. This blogsite is loaded with visual stimulation, new products, ideas and crazy stuff that runs across my mind. Also included will be many grammer mistakes and misspellings I am sure.

My name is Brandy. I will be your guide. I am also a people watcher, day dreamer, artist, flexitarian, guerilla artist, Sweet Potato Queen, music lover, member of the Metal Pounders Union, and photographer.

I absolutely love my job and the opportunities I have to meet the people that I do.

Oddly Beautiful

Too many to list, but today these things are on my mind for some reason. These are things that I find oddly beautiful:

Dryer lint (look at it, especially when you dry the reds)
Metal pipes stacked on top of each other
The highway (be careful on this one, I took a picture of a girl sitting in the highway one time and while editing I brought the highway in full screen and it is beautiful, all the textures and colors there)
Rust
The ball on top of a flagpole
The inside of a computer or any electronic
Old brick-I mean OLD brick
An iron fence painted black
Anything metal
Automobiles-old, new, junked, crushed, smashed, all of them

Some of these things give me inspiration for my photography and some are used in my photography. Love Rust in a photo! I don't know about dryer lint.

This is just a small tip of the iceberg! And all of these things are man made, well except for the rust. We have been given this strange land we call home to live on and never take the time to look around. I drive the same route to work every morning, been doing it for 7 years. I see something new everyday. Just realized one lady on my road had painted her shutters white. I know she didn't just do it. Its been 25 degrees outside! Look around, we are given this gift and it changes constantly. You might miss something and I don't know about you but I hate to be excluded! What do you find oddly beautiful?...Until then

Keep Rockin

  1. OOO! I just love this post. It is so nice to LOOK for beauty in everyday life. That being said, I love broken glass, torn down building's remnants (like an old school),and I am with you on the rust thing (it's always different). Barnacles (always love the many shapes and colors of them, though they annoy the people that have to clean them. Yesterday I saw a guy carrying junk from a home to the dump and there was an old shutter on top of his pile! Loved it. the colors, the age....it was for real, not fake-aged! I was very tempted to stop and ask for it!
